Priyojit Sarkar
Founder
A VIT Vellore graduate, seasoned operations professional, and proud Labrador brother — I bring both heart and expertise to everything I build. With 3 years of hands-on experience in core operations and currently advancing my knowledge through a Master's in Operations, Project & Supply Chain at the University of Manchester, I've built a strong foundation in building efficient, scalable systems. As the founder of Petroo, I combine operational excellence with a deep love for animals to redefine how pet babies travel.
Souvik Sengupta
Co-Founder
Primarily a pet parent to a beautiful dog girl. My love for pets is inspired by my mother's lifelong devotion to animals. While my career is anchored in academia, as a Linguist, a Gold Medalist, and recently, a DFG grant holder at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, I realized my journey wasn't yet pawfect.
Merging 2+ years of corporate experience with a researcher's precision, I co-founded Petroo to drive meaningful innovation. My mission is to transform my love for my own dog into a safer, better world for all pets. At Petroo, we believe every animal deserves a future built on care and safety.
Bidisha Chakraborty

At 21, becoming a dog mom during the pandemic reshaped my world, deepening my empathy for the animals around us. This profound connection sparked the vision for Petroo, a solution dedicated to making the lives of both pets and pet parents seamless and stress-free. With a background in Economics and 3+ years of corporate experience as a Data Analyst, I combine analytical rigor with my current postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester. My mission is to bridge the gap between data-driven innovation and heartfelt care, ensuring Petroo remains an affordable, hassle-free sanctuary for pets and their families.
Debalina Maji (Dona)
Co-Founder
Not a pet parent, but deeply moved by the unspoken bond animals create, my perspective shifted during my time volunteering at PetFed in Delhi. Watching the joy, trust, and companionship between pets and their human parents made me realise that care for them deserves more than affection, it deserves intention, awareness, and better systems.
While my journey began in fashion at the National Institute of Fashion Technology and evolved across industries like fashion, EdTech, and HealthTech, I found my purpose in building something of my own. Currently pursuing Marketing at the University of Manchester, I co-founded Petroo to shape a more positive and thoughtful world for pets. My vision is to turn empathy into action, building a brand that our PETrons can truly rely on.
